Good News for Subclass 491 Visa Applicants! No minimum income Required for PR Visa Subclass 191

It’s a good news for the applicants of Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 491. Now, there is no minimum income requirement for the Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa (subclass 191). The Subclass 491 visa is temporary or provisional visa, which you can convert later to PR (Permanent Residence) visa Subclass 191.

No minimum income for PR Visa Subclass 191

There is no minimum income requisite for the PR visa (subclass 191). However, primary applicants need to provide notices of assessment issued by the ATO (Australian Taxation Office) for 3 income years out of the 5 years of their eligible visa. Primary applicants who have already submitted application, need to make certain that their application provides these 3 notices.

Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa (subclass 191)-Regional Provisional stream

This particular visa category allows individuals who have lived and worked in designated regional areas of Australia on an adequate visa (i.e. Subclass 491 visa), live and work in Australia on a permanent basis. Candidates need to have complied with the conditions of their eligible visa.

Apply for Subclass 491 visa as a first step towards PR visa Subclass 191

The Subclass 491 visa is for the foreign skilled workers nominated by a state or territory government to live and work in regional part of Australia. This is a provisional visa that allows you to live and work in regional area of Land Down Under for up to 5 years. However, after three years, you can apply for permanent residence visa Subclass 191.

Eligibility requirements of Subclass 491 Visa

• be nominated to apply by a state or territory government agency, or an eligible relative must sponsor you
• have an occupation on a relevant skilled occupation list
• have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation
• be invited to apply
• satisfy the points test
