Canada Issues 4,000 ITAs in Latest CEC Draw, CRS Score Falls Near Two-Year Low

Canada has conducted another significant Express Entry draw, bringing positive news for candidates under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off score has dropped close to a two-year low, offering renewed hope to skilled workers aiming for permanent residence.

In the latest round, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 4,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system. This draw specifically targeted candidates under the Canadian Experience Class category, which is designed for individuals who have gained eligible skilled work experience in Canada.

Key Details of New EE Draw

To be considered in this draw, candidates needed to have:

  • A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 508; and
  • Created an Express Entry candidate profile before 10:35 a.m., Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) on June 24, 2025.

The tie-breaking rule ensured that candidates with identical CRS scores were ranked based on the date and time their profiles were submitted.

This latest round marks the twelfth Express Entry selection of the year. Throughout 2026, IRCC has largely focused on candidates already residing in Canada, particularly those with provincial nominations and Canadian work experience. The distribution of draws so far reflects this targeted strategy.

The data clearly shows that Provincial Nominee Program and Canadian Experience Class candidates have received the most attention this year. This aligns with Canada’s broader strategy of retaining skilled workers who are already contributing to the economy.

With 20,000 invitations already issued under the Canadian Experience Class, it remains one of the most active and promising pathways for Canada PR in 2026. The CRS score of 508, while still competitive, is comparatively lower than many previous draws, suggesting improved opportunities for eligible candidates.

In 2026 thus far, IRCC has issued a total of 39,112 ITAs across different categories. The breakdown is provided below:
