In addition to the new occupations, IRCC will continue to conduct category-based draws for:
French-language proficiency candidates
Healthcare and social services occupations

Why This Update Is Important for PR Applicants
These changes show that Canada is becoming more targeted and strategic with immigration selection. Instead of relying only on CRS scores, the government is focusing on occupations that are in high demand.
This means:
Some candidates may receive ITAs even with moderate CRS scores
Professionals in priority sectors could see faster selection
Canadian work experience is becoming even more valuable
If your profile matches any of the new categories, this is a strong opportunity to strengthen your Express Entry application.
