Alberta is a wonderful Canadian province and a home to few world class cities, including Edmonton- the provincial capital and Calgary – ranked as one of the best cities in the world by EIU in 2013. If you have plans to move to Alberta in 2018, Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is the immigration program you need to apply.
The AINP operates in coordination with the federal government of Canada and nominates the suitable immigrants for Canada PR as per annual nomination quota allocated by the Federal government of Canada. If you wish to Move to Alberta, you can apply in the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) – 2018.
Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) changes 2018
In October last year, Alberta Government announced to make key changes in its streams w.e.f. January 2, 2018. It was said that the provincial government will simplify the process and reduce the wait time. The AINP will also reduce the total number of AINP streams and will introduce the few new streams on January, 2018, i.e.
The Alberta Opportunity Stream shall replace the existing Employer-Driven Stream and Strategic Recruitment Stream.
Introduction of AINP- Express Entry aligned stream
The other key proposed change is the introduction of Alberta Express Entry stream, which was expected to be operational from January 2018, however it wasn’t to be. The new Express Entry stream will allow Alberta to nominate a limited number of suitable applicants from the Government of Canada’s Express Entry system. As of now the changes have not been made by the Alberta government, however, we may soon see the AINP changes taking place in 2018.
How does it work?
Let’s first understand the key streams of AINP to understand its functioning and operation.
What are the key streams of AINP?
The AINP has the below three key streams of immigration:
A. Strategic Recruitment Stream:
You can apply for this stream directly under the given below pathways:
B. Employer-Driven Stream
You can apply through an employer any of its three key categories:
You can apply under this stream if you have been provided with and full-time (permanent) job by an employer in Alberta in an eligible skilled occupation.
You can apply under this category provided you have recently got a degree from an authorized post-secondary institution in Canada, possess a Post-Graduation Work Permit, and have obtained a fulltime (permanent) job by an employer in Alberta in an eligible occupation.
You can become eligible for the nomination under this stream provided you are a temporary overseas worker and have obtained a fulltime (permanent) job by an employer in Alberta in an eligible semi-skilled occupation.
C. Self-Employed Farmer Stream
You can apply under this category provided you have the financial assets and farm management experience to buy and set up a farm in Alberta.
They say, I can work and live in Australia now. It is all because of Visas Avenue. It was all like a relay race in which I was just the first runner. I ran my first 100 meters and then handed the baton over to VA. First came Neeraj. I still remember when I first talked to him. I was so hesitant, so full of doubts that I almost sounded a cynic. And yet he was patient and calm. He listened to me and cleared all my doubts without giving falls hopes. And then came Shivangi, the Anchor leg as they say in relay races. She had to win it for me as Anchor leg wins the medal and Shivangi won it for me. She is a hard taskmaster and assuring you as a friend. Shivangi does not leave any stone unturned. She explores to find the best solution of all the problems. And that is the formula of success, I guess. Now that I have my medal around my neck, I know that if it was not these guys, it was not possible. Just trust them. They know how important it is for you. And they know how to get it. You just need to believe in them and help them building your case. If your case is genuine, they will win it for you. All the best Visas Avenue. Keep changing lives. Thanks!
First of all I would like to thank Ms. Shivangi Arora and the entire team at Visas Avenue for their support and guidance for my PR Visa to Australia... I am so excited. There are no words to express my gratitude to Shivangi, she has been there all the time helping and guiding me, and at times patiently answering my stupid questions. There was times when I was wondering why she was so precise about each and every document, correcting and re-correcting every minute detail. Now I understand all the pain she took to get me a visa successfully. Let me tell whoever is reading this that I have had the best experience being associated with them, and even to this day I haven't met anyone personally nor have I seen the office.Today, I can proudly recommend Visas Avenue to one and all who would love to see their overseas dreams come true, but provided your documents are genuine. Trust me, they tell you at your first interaction whether your work will be done or not, that is even before you pay the money. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Visas Avenue. Finally, all the credit goes to Ms. Shivangi Arora, she is a gem of a person and I must say- an asset to Visas Avenue.
Our experience with Visas Avenue has been good. Shivangi Arora, who handled our application, was prompt and helpful in providing guidance and answering our queries. She provided suitable alternatives where required and gave us regular status updates. Overall we feel they have the required knowledge and processes in place to suitably guide Australia PR applicants.
This is a great place if you want guidance to apply for a Canadian PR. The consultants know what you expect and they will get it done for you. I was allotted Ruchika Sharma, she is a gem! Got my PR within 30 days of submitting the application. Highly recommend Visas Avenue if anyone wants to apply for a PR.

I am so excited in accomplishing my dream and ambition. Thank you so much for all your help Pranshu and the entire team of Visas Avenue. Reflecting back, I believe engaging Visas Avenue to help me with Canada PR process was one of the best decisions I made in life. Their knowledge and understanding of the system is wonderful and took all the stress out of the process. Ever since Pranshu took up my case, he made me feel confident and took away my worries, also helped explain each stage of the process. The best part was having the peace of mind that an expert was dealing with our visa process which took much of the worry and stress out of it for us. His expertise has been invaluable in the process, he was very professional but easy going in day to day emails. His personal touch is a lot nicer and that made a huge difference. Thank you for putting up with my 100's of questions and always being so good to reply straight away. Pranshu always advised and responded promptly and demonstrated a personable approach, with a great sense of humour. He is a great asset to you and your company.I appreciate all your help and wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to everyone.
Well, I will not write generic review. I started planning to apply for PR around Dec 2016. I was not sure whether to apply for Australia or Canada. I met few consultants in this regard. Out of those, my experience with Visas Avenue was the best. On very first meeting they explained me complete process of PR for different countries. They also told me about pros and cons of different countries. In the end I decided to apply PR for Australia. My Relationship Manager from Visas Avenue was Shivangi Arora. I was impressed with her knowledge about immigration processes. She drew my road map for application. Right from reference letters to, EOI, to visa filing etc. Shivangi always took initiative from her side. She had answers to all my questions.Even on those frustrating days, when I saw other s visa approval and mine under process, she was able to satisfy my doubts and also never gave me fake timelines. Special thanks to you Shivangi . In September 17, I have got PR for myself and my family. I am really glad that I took services from Visas Avenue. Highly Recommended !!! Thank You. Please see my application was filed in April 17 itself, but there was delay from Australia s immigration department. Any delay on their part is not in anyone s hand. In this case neither individual nor consultant can help. Patience is key. So have patience and you will succeed. Good Luck!
The other name of professionalism and efficiency is Visas Avenue. It played a major role in turning my Canada PR dream into a reality. I would particularly like to mention Ankita and my case manager Shivangi for assisting me through the process and helping me keep my nerves in check. Despite never meeting them in person, as I am based in Kolkata, I never felt that distance matters. The entire process and consultations were done via email and phone and there was no scope of any complaint at all. A team of thorough professionals, it knows its job very well. I wish all the best to Visas Avenues and hope it would assist many other dreamers like me in achieving their goals.
Thank you so much Visa's Avenue and whole team. Everyone was very supportive all the time. A very very special thanks Shivangi and Neeraj for their any time support. Specially, Shivangi who supported us at every stage very calmly and firmly with all the queries answered on time.
