Canberra issued 385 ACT Nomination Invitations in New Canberra Matrix Invitation Round

In the most recent Canberra invitation round held on April 5, 2024, the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) issued 385 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for ACT nomination. These invitations were specifically for the Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190 and Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 491.   • Small Business Owners: Canberra has issued 23 ITAs under this category for both Subclass 190 and 491 visa to candidates with minimum matrix score of 125 and 100 points respectively.
  • 457 / 482 visa holders- Total 27 invitations issued under this category for both (190 & 491) visa subclasses.
  • Critical Skill Occupations– Canberra has issued most, i.e. 213 ACT nomination invitations to the candidates registered for both 190 and 491 visa.

ACT (Australian Capital Territory) Nomination

ACT nomination

The Australian Department of Home Affairs (DHA) permits the use of the Canberra Matrix to select individuals for nomination under two skilled migration visa categories in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT):

  • Skilled Work Regional Visa (subclass 491) (provisional)
  • Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190) (permanent)

2023-2024 Allocation of ACT Nomination Places:

  • Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa: 600 places
  • Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa: 600 places
