The federal government has allocated 3,500 places for Subclass 190 visa nomination, and 500 places for Subclass 491 nominations.

• Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190- 3,500 Places
• Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 491-500 Places

Now, from these numbers, it is evident that the government of Victoria will primarily focus on Subclass 190 visa nominations, and competitiveness is high in the state.Although, there are several changes in the process requirement, however, it is generally still limited to the candidates,working in the target sectors.

Changes to Victoria 2021-22 Skilled Migration program

The key changes to the 2021-22 program are as follows:

• The elimination of the minimum experience and hours worked requirement.
• Rise in the number of targeted sectors.
• The candidatesneeds to have STEMM skills and have a Skill Level 1 or 2 occupation.  The candidates for subclass 491 visanomination may also have a Skill Level 3 occupation using their STEMM skills.

The applicants working in above sectors have greater chance of getting an invitation from Victoria.If your ROI not selected in 2020-21 program and, you must submit a new ROI in 2021-22.

• living in Victoria (subclass 491 visa candidates must live and work in regional Victoria)
• Working in state of Victoria using STEMM skills and
