The government's immigration division announced the issuance of 6,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through its primary economic immigration management system. This highly significant draw exclusively targeted applicants qualifying under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) stream.

To receive an invitation in this pivotal round, candidates needed to satisfy the following minimum criteria:

This 6,000 ITAs issuance marks the single largest invitation round directed at CEC applicants since the summer of 2024 (specifically, July 16, 2024), effectively making it the most substantial draw for this category in more than 16 months.

For applicants in the CEC pool, this development is especially positive. It represents a significant 13 to 14 point drop from the prior CRS cut-off scores, which had stubbornly remained at 533 or 534 across the preceding five invitation rounds.

This significant draw is the second conducted in December, immediately following a record-breaking Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) round on December 8, a substantial French-language proficiency draws on November 28, and another CEC round on November 26.
