FSW draws in July 2022- Did u check your eligibility for Canada PR

After almost two years, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is going to resume the Express Entry- Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category draws in early July 2022.

Hence, the applicants are eager to register their profile in the EE system. However, have you checked your eligibility status to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa through EE system? Take a look at the key eligibility parameters to know if you are eligible to register profile.

Express Entry criteria

Express Entry is a point-based immigration program that assess the applicants based on six selection factors, i.e. age, education, language proficiency, work experience, adaptability and arranged employment. If you are going to register your profile under Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category, you must obtain minimum 67 points out of 100 based on the above-mentioned factors. Find out the key requirements to apply for PR visa in Canada via EE system.

Key requirements to apply for Canadian PR visa through Express entry

Find below the key requirements to apply for Permanent Resident (PR) Visa in Canada via EE system:

  • Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from an approved assessing authority, i.e. WES, ICAS, IQAS, etc.
  • IELTS test for English language proficiency, or an approved French language proficiency test (minimum CLB 7 score)
  • Get minimum 67 points out of 100 under Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category of EE system
  • Produce Medical certificate for fitness as and when asked by Immigration Office.
  • Provide the Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) as and when asked by the visa office
  • Other basic documents needed for the process, i.e. employment related documents, photographs, birth certificates, etc.

CRS score requirement to get ITA

Registering profile in the Express Entry System, does not guarantee the ITA (Invitation to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). You must have high enough CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score to obtain the ITA from IRCC. After resumption of the FSW draws, the CRS score is expected to remain high, i.e. close to 480-500 mark, considering a huge number of candidates accumulated in the Express Entry pool with high CRS score.

In this situation, either you have two option, wait for the CUT OFF to reduce for fall, or you can rather make efforts to increase your own CRS score. You can raise the point score by applying to an appropriate Canadian Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and obtaining the provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa.

The nomination makes you eligible to get 600 additional CRS points in your express entry account, which in turn ensure ITA from IRCC.
