Australia has revised the Visa fee from 1 July 2021 for all key visa categories

The government of Australia has revised the visa fee for all main visa categories with effect from July 1, 2021.

Among other visas, the Department of Home Affairs, Australia has marginally increased the visa fee for all popular skilled visa categories, i.e. Subclass 189 visa, Subclass 190 visa and Subclass 491 visa. The Aussie government every year revise the visa fee on1st July, which happens to be the the start of Australia’s new program year.

New Skilled Visa fee from July 1, 2021

Annual Visa fee Changes

The government revise the visa fee from time to time. The cost of a visa depends on the date DHA receive your application. In case, there is a price revision between the date you submit your application and the date the government received your application, you require paying the new application charge. 

Description of application charges

The visa application charge is the amount of funds in Australian dollars (AUD) that an applicant need to pay for a visa application. In some cases, an applicant do not need to pay the visa application charge.

An applicant pay the visa application charge in two instalments (although either or both of these instalments may be nil):

•    the 'first instalment' is payable at the time the visa application is made
•    the 'second instalment' is payable before the grant of the visa.

In case there is a requirement to pay the second instalment, the DHA will inform you when it is due.If it is a sponsored or nominated visa, your sponsor or nominator may require paying certain fees.
