South Australia has received Nomination Allocation of over 8,000 Places for 2022-23

The Department of Home Affairs, Australia has confirmed the final nomination allocation levels of South Australia (SA) for 2022-23. The state of SA will issue state nomination to more than 8,000 candidates in the year 2022-23.

The SA has received these nominations for key visa categories, i.e. Subclass 190, Subclass 491 and Subclass 188 visa. Find out more about this allocation.

SA Final Nomination Allocation 2022-23

Find below the final allocation for SA for 2022-2023: 

• General Skilled Migration Program (Visa subclass 491 and 190): 8,000 places
• Business Innovation and Investment Program (visa subclass 188): 70 places

General Skilled Migration Program (GSM)

Immigration South Australia (SA) shall continue to nominate GSM candidates in all streams, including overseas candidates. SA offer several opportunities for skilled migrants to acquire state nomination. The two main state/region nominated visa categories under General Skilled Migration (GSM) are:

• Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190
• Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 491

Business Innovation and Investment Program 

To administer the limited final allocation of 70 nomination places, the below measures are in place: 

• Business Innovation stream (188A):?Immigration SA will keep the ITA (Intention to Apply) process open until 31 January 2023 and subsequently, will close for the remainder of the 2022-23 program year. A very small number of 188A candidates, who have submitted an ITA will get  for state nomination in March 2023   
• Investor stream (188B):?This particular stream is closed to new applicants for the remainder of the program year 
• Significant Investor stream (188C):? This stream is also closed to new candidates for the remainder of the program year 
• Entrepreneur stream (188E):? under this particular stream, a very limited number of places are available. Hence, to be considered under this stream, the candidates must acquire information on both eligibility and availability 

Note: Subclass 888 state nomination applications and 132 review applications are not affected by nomination places and will remain open until 26 June 2023. 

The Skilled & Business Migration office is temporarily closing for the holiday period. It will reopen on Monday 9 January 2023.
