Ontario PNP Resumes Accepting EOIs for Entrepreneur Stream via an updated EOI Process

Ontario has updated the process for registering an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Entrepreneur Stream of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). The province has also resumed accepting the EOIs now for the Entrepreneurs stream under new process from 23 February 2022. There is no fee to register an EOI, as it is not an application. Although, you can register EOI, but you can only apply for the nomination for Canadian PR Visa under the Entrepreneur Stream, when you get the ITA (Invitation to Apply) from OINP. Find out more.

Entrepreneur Stream new EOI Process

If you are willing to get ITA (Invitation to Apply) for the Entrepreneur Stream, you can now register an EOI using the e-Filing Portal.  The candidates no longer need to contact OINP to request for an EOI registration form. However, this update only applicable to the Entrepreneur Stream of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

If you have registered an adequate EOI before February 23, 2022, Ontario PNP will manually convert it into the e-Filing Portal. The OINP will notify the EOI registrants affected by this transition, as to how they can access their EOI in the e-Filing Portal. However, this updated process does not make any changes to the Entrepreneur Stream’s existing requirements.

EOI Process

The Expression of Interest (EOI) includes two components, for a maximum EOI score of 200 points:

• self-declared score (maximum 126 points)
• business concept score (maximum 74 points)

It also comprise an attestation that stream parameters are or will be fulfilled. Ontario PNP will evaluate and score your business concept.  Your business concept must score minimum 37 of the available 74 points (50%) to be placed in the EOI selection pool. Whether you are issued an ITA is based on your EOI rank in the pool. Only the top ranked applicants get the invitation to apply.
