Canberra invites 919 candidates to apply for ACT nomination in latest ACT invitation round

Canberra, Australia held latest Canberra Matrix invitation round on February 22, 2023 to issue total 919 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for the ACT (Australian Capital Territory) nomination. Overseas applicants received 408 nomination invitations this time around for Subclass 190 and for Subclass 491 visa. Find out more about latest ACT round.

Latest ACT Invitation Round on 22 Feb

This is the first invitation round of this year. Find below the details of the latest round:

• Small Business Owners: Canberra has issued total 25 invitations under this category for both invited visa categories.
• 457 / 482 visa holders- Just 8 ITAs issued under this category for both invited visa categories in this round.
• Critical Skill Occupations– Canberra has issued most, i.e. 478 nomination invitations for ACT to Subclass 190 and 491 visa candidates.

• Overseas Applicants (Critical Skill Occupations) – This particular category received 408 nomination invitations to the Overseas Applicants. The ACT invited 13 candidates to apply for the nomination of Subclass 190 visa, while Subclass 491 visa candidates received, i.e. 395 invitations.

ACT Nomination

The ACT (Australian Capital Territory) reserves a fixed number of nomination places for every month (pro-rata against the yearly allocation). The top ranked Matrix in each occupation get ITA (Invitation to Apply) for ACT nomination. The cut?off for selection depend on following:

• On the remaining monthly allocation
• the date and time of Matrix submission
• Occupation cap and demand

The higher the demand for an occupation, the greater the rank of the Matrix score invited.
