Canada Opens 3rd All-program Express Entry Draw of the Year – Invites 730 Candidates

The IRCC issued Canada PR invitations to 730 candidates this time around who had the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score of 541 points or higher. The CUT OFF dropped marginally by just two points in this particular EE draw.

EE Draw Analysis

The 31st Jan invitation round was third all-category EE draw this year as previous two all-program draws took place on 10 and 23 January respectively. Now, in total three Express Entry draws of federal EE System held this year until date the IRCC has invited total 3,280 candidates to apply for Canadian PR Visa.

The CRS score has not dropped much as all the draws opened this year were all-program draws. However, it is likely to drop once the IRCC conducts the category-based draws inviting the candidates with proficiency in French or experience in some high demand occupations.

Categories invited by IRCC in 2023 category-based EE Draws

In 2023, the IRCC targeted below categories, i.e. candidates with,

• A strong French language proficiency or
• Work experience in one of the below fields:
  • healthcare
  • science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
  • trades, such as carpenters, plumbers and contractors
  • transport
  • agriculture and Agri-food

Some of the above-mentioned categories are likely to sustain in the year 2024 as well, i.e. French Proficiency, STEM and Healthcare
