Why CRS score is still high in Express Entry draws? Find out how to get ITA despite high CUT OFF

Resumption of all-program draws was a huge respite for the Canada PR (Permanent Residence) visa aspirants registered in federal Express Entry System. However, the high CRS Cut Off post recommencement of all-program draws has been a real let down, particularly for the FSW (Federal Skilled Worker) category candidates in the EE system.

Why CRS cut off is still high?

The CRS score requirement was 557 points in the first all-program draw of this year, i.e. 6 July draw. If you closely look at the Express Entry pool, as on August 2, 2022, there more than 10,000 applicants with CRS score 501 CRS points or above. It clearly reflect that the CRS is going to be over 500 points for at least 3-4 draws.

With less number of high-ranking candidates in the EE pool say after couple of months, the CUT OFF too will fall down to be under 500 only.

The CRS score of the applicants have improved, as the candidates have acquired higher language proficiency, dual language proficiency (English/French), PNP nomination, LMIA approved job offer, etc. As a result, EE pool has significant number of high-ranking candidates, which is keeping the CUT OFF high.

How to get ITA if your CRS score is low?
