Western Australia Invitation Round on 6 April- 1,150 candidates received ITA for State Nomination

Australian state, Western Australia (WA) held latest invitation round of its State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP) on April 6, 2023. In this round, WA has issued total 1,150 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for the state nomination for key visa categories, i.e. Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190 and Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 491. The WA migration usually issue the invitations in the first week of each month. The number of ITAs issued each month may vary based on the number of applications being processed by WA Migration Services.

• In this latest invitations round of State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP), Western Australia issued total 350 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for the nomination of Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190. These ITAs received by the candidates under SNMP General stream –WASMOL schedule 1 and SNMP Graduate stream – vocational education and training graduates.
• For state nomination of Subclass 491 Visa, WA issued total 800 ITAs to candidates under SNMP General stream –WASMOL schedule 2 and SNMP Graduate stream – higher education graduates.

WA State nomination

To apply for a State nominated skilled visa (i.e. Subclass 190 or 491), you need to be nominated by a State or Territory, i.e. the Government of Western Australia (WA). To be eligible for WA nomination you need to fulfil both the DHA criteria for the nominated visa and the WA criteria for State nomination.

State nomination gives you additional points on the DHA points test, which is automatically incorporated into your EOI in the Home Affairs SkillSelect database. You can be nominated for:

• the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) and get an extra 5 points; or
• the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) and get an extra 15 points.

Western Australia (WA) Migration every month select a fix number of expressions of interest ('EOIs') from SkillSelect to issue an invitation to apply for State nomination.
