New All-category Draw of Express Entry System- IRCC invites 1,470 Candidates

In this latest EE draw, the IRCC has invited 1,470 candidates under all EE categories, who had the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score of 534 points or higher.

EE Draw Analysis

 

This was eighth Express Entry draw this year and fifth EE draw in February 2024 itself. In the five EE draws occurred this month, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited record 13,610 candidates to apply for Canadian PR visa.

 

 

Overall, in total eight immigration invitation rounds of federal EE System occurred this year until date, the IRCC has issued total 16,890 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for Canada PR visa.

Canada has retained existing Categories for 2024 category-based EE Draws

 

In a recent announcement, the Canadian immigration has affirmed its decision to uphold the six established categories (introduced in 2023) for category-based selection in Express Entry draws throughout the year 2024.

The categories retained for 2024 are:

• A strong French language proficiency or
• Work experience in one of the below fields:
  • healthcare
  • science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
  • trades, such as carpenters, plumbers and contractors
  • transport
  • agriculture and Agri-food

Needless to mention that CRS score requirement in category-based EE draws remain relatively low. Hence, the CUT OFF may remain high for all-program draws, however, the applicants with low CRS score can stay positive knowing that they have great opportunity ahead of getting the Canada PR invitation through the category-based express entry draws.
