Express Entry draw for PNP candidates- IRCC issues 699 Invitations on 15 Feb

The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the latest draw for federal Express Entry System on February 15, 2023. In this particular EE Draw, the IRCC has issued 699 ITAs (Invitations to apply) for Canadian PR visa to PNP candidates only. This is the second PNP category Express Entry draw this year and fifth EE draw overall this year.

In this latest EE draw, the IRCC has invited 699 candidates, with CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score 791 points or above. The CUT OFF is understandably high as the draw is for applicants with provincial nomination and 600 additional CRS points earned based on the same.

After the 15 February draw, now, Canadian government has issued total 15,892 invitations to apply for the Canadian PR Visa, in overall 5 EE draws held this year until date.

EE Draw Analysis

This particular draw is meant for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates registered in the EE system. Hence, the CRS score was relatively high in this particular invitation. However, such PNP draws with high CUT OFF in a way help the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) applicants, as they clear the bunch of extremely high-ranking candidates. Consequently, the CUT OFF in next draw drops to the benefit of FSW applicants in the Express Entry pool.
