UK is inviting applications from Indians for Young Professionals Scheme | No job offer is required

The government of the UK will start accepting applications from eligible candidates for the UK-India Young Professionals visa between 28 February and 2 March 2023. This particular scheme allows young Indians (18-30 Years) who have graduate or postgraduate qualifications to stay and work in the UK for up to two years. It is appropriate to know that the ballot for this visa scheme is not yet open. The UK and India will officially launch this scheme on 28 February and start accepting applications on the same date.

UK- India Young Professionals Scheme

Announcing the official date of accepting applications for YPS last week, the British High Commission in India tweeted,

“Eligible applicants must submit their interest in the Young Professionals Scheme by entering into a ballot between 28 February and 2 March. The ballot will randomly select ballot entrants and if successful, will invite you to submit your visa application. Those who have not been invited will not be eligible to apply this time around,"

At the start of this year, officials from both UK and India announced that the YPS would offer 3,000 places every year to eligible young Indians to live and work in the UK for up to two years.

The foundation of the UK- India Young Professionals Scheme was laid during the G20 Summit in Bali last November when British PM Rishi Sunak and India's PM Narendra Modi met and gave a green signal to this scheme. The YPS will be reciprocal, as similarly, it will also allow young professionals in the UK to join in a professional exchange by staying and working in India for the same period.
