Western Australia Issues ITAs to 2,900 Skilled Migrants in latest SNMP Invitation round

Western Australia (WA) has extended invitations to nearly 2,995 skilled migrants in its latest State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP) round held on December 13, 2024. This initiative is designed to attract skilled workers to the state and fill critical labor shortages across various industries.

The SNMP is a pathway to permanent residency in Australia, allowing skilled migrants to live and work in WA. The latest round of invitations reflects the state's commitment to economic growth and its need for skilled professionals in sectors such as technology, healthcare, and engineering.

  • Subclass 190: A total of 1,495 skilled workers received invitations for permanent residency through the state or territory nomination program.
  • Subclass 491: 1,500 individuals were invited to apply for a 5-year temporary regional visa, which offers a pathway to permanent residency upon meeting specific requirements.
