Third Express Entry Draw opens on January 20 to invite Provincial Nominee Class Candidates

The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has opened another Express Entry draw for PNP candidates on January 20, 2021. It is the third Express Entry draw this year and second for the Provincial Nominee Class candidates.

 

The IRCC has opened the program-specific draws only this year until now. Hence, the experts, as well as the candidates eagerly await an all-program draw.

 

Express Entry draw on January 20

In this latest Express Entry draw, the candidates with PNP nomination only received the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa. These are the candidates, who have obtained extra 600 CRS points by applying in a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and subsequently, getting the provincial nomination certificate.

Since this draw is for PNP class candidates, the CRS score requirement is, as usual, high and the number of invitations is relatively low compare to the regular all-program EE draw. Now, IRCC has invited total 5,374 candidates this year in three program-specific Express Entry draws.

Will next draw invite the FSW category candidates?

Canada has a target of inviting 401,000 newcomers in 2021, and out of this, 1, 08,500 immigrants will get an invitation through express entry system. Hence, it is still a long way to go, and we may soon see an all-program draw from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The CRS score requirement may also drop in the coming EE draws considering IRCC has huge Express Entry target this year.
