The UK to Launch New High Potential Individual Visa for Overseas Citizens

On May 30, 2022, the United Kingdom will launch a new High Potential Individual visa program for overseas citizens.

The new visa program will offer a post-study immigration pathway to the brightest and best foreign nationals who wish to migrate to the UK but don't have a job offer in hand. The selected candidates will be granted permission to live and work in the UK or find work at any skill level for up to 3 years.

One of the key benefits of this new High Potential Individual route is that it'll be beneficial for both candidates and employers, like:

• No sponsorship requirement for candidates
• Candidates will not require any prior job offer in hand to qualify.
• Once candidates enter the UK, they will be allowed to work in any job, regardless of whether their employer has a sponsor license or not.
• Employers can recruit global talent without paying any sponsorship fees.
• There will be no minimum salary or skill thresholds, allowing the employer to hire candidates for a wider range of roles

Who can qualify for the UK High Potential Individual visa?

The new High Potential Individual visa pathway will be open for recent graduates from top universities globally. To qualify, candidates must:

• have either a bachelor’s or postgraduate qualification gained in the past 5 years from an eligible university outside the UK (to be listed in the Home Office’s Global Universities List)
