South Australia Migration to priorities Health, ICT, Education, and Engineering, Occupations in 2022-23

General Skilled Migration (GSM) program is now open to process EOIs under South Australia Skilled Migration Program. Government of SA has published a revised skilled occupation list, focusing the skills it wants to fill through foreign talent as well as migrants already living and working in the state of South Australia. Nomination to be prioritized in 2022-23

The number of occupations available for skilled migration has returned to pre-COVID pandemic levels with over 470 occupations available this year, up from 380 in 2021-22. The SA 2022-23 Skilled Migration Program will prefer nominations for skilled migrants:

• With backgrounds in in-demand occupations, i.e. Health, ICT, Education, Engineering, Agribusiness and Trades, or
• Who can bring their skills to developing segments i.e. Hi-Tech / Digital, Health and Life Sciences, Green Energy, Defence, Space and Cyber Security.

At now, South Australia is focusing on to nominate migrants who are already living and working in SA—to keep those with in-demand skills—as well as nominating skilled and experienced migrants from outside Australia who can fill critical shortages.

Submit EOI profile for selection

To register in SkillSelect and obtain the nomination for Subclass 190 or Subclass 491 visa, you must meet following criteria:

• You must have an occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list
• You need to have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation
• IELTS test for English proficiency with relevant band score
• you must get invitation to apply for this visa
• Fulfil the points test
