Second Express Entry draw of September 2020- will it be an All-Program Draw yet again?

By Rajneesh Kumar Posted 07, Sep 2020

abc The most recent draw occurred on September 2, 2020 was an incredible one which invited 4200 candidates to apply for Canada, i.e. the second highest number of invitations in a draw this year. Now, all eyes are on the upcoming second express entry draw.

It will be interesting to see what Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) come up with this time around, as far as the next Express Entry draw is concerned.

Next express Entry draw prediction

Well, the IRCC is proceeding with the things watchfully when it comes to holding periodic Express Entry System draws. As of now, the IRCC is following the monthly draw trend for the all-program draws and it is mixing the same with the program- specific draws (i.e. for FST, CEC and PNP class) within the month.

Hence, the frequency goes like, first all program draw, then program specific draws (one or two) and then again, all draw.

Hence, it will interesting to see whether the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) follows this same trend or open again an all program draw once again. Meanwhile, the candidates registered in express entry under the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category would definitely want to see another all-program draw happening.

Express entry target for 2020 and possibility of all-program draw

This year, Express Entry has issued total 69,950 invitations, hence keeping in mind the overall invitation target in mind for EE system (i.e. 91, 800); the IRCC is likely to invite 21,850 more candidates in the year 2020. Hence, considering this target to be distributed in 6-7 EE draws, IRCC may like to raise the frequency of All- program draws.

CRS score requirement

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement may also drop a bit considering the Express Entry pool status as on 31st August 2020. The EE pool has 22,541 candidates in the EE pool with CRS score range of 451-500.

Having said the same, if your CRS Point score is low, you can still apply for and get Canada PR by applying in a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and obtaining the additional 600 CRS Points based on the provincial nomination.
