As part of the pilot scheme, the UK government has allocated Rs. 1 million for the financial year 2023-24. The program aims to increase the number of overseas teaching staff in the country. It includes the following:
Criteria for eligibility

Applications will be accepted until the end of Autumn 2023.
Does this scheme apply to all categories?
A different scheme will be in place depending on whether the trainee is salaried, fee-paying, or a teacher.
The trainees who are enrolled in fee-paying courses
During the first term of a trainee's studies, their initial training pay will be credited to their IRP account.
Trainees who are paid
Upon entering the country, completing a training program and applying to the Department of Education, salaries trainees will receive an IRP. The trainee may also be eligible to receive the award at the end of the first semester, depending on their eligibility.
Teachers
In autumn 2023, teachers are advised to submit their applications to DfE. Upon arrival in the country and commencement of teaching duties, they will be granted the IRP. Successful applicants may receive the IRP at the end of their first term if they meet the eligibility criteria.
There is a growing demand for teaching staff in the United Kingdom from India and Nigeria. The country expects to receive between 300 and 400 IRPs for teaching staff. It also plans to hire overseas teaching staff in other subjects in the next academic year.
