  • NOC "A" (occupations that usually require university education);
  • NOC "B" (occupations that usually require college education or apprenticeship training); or
  • NOC "0" (management).
However, all the occupations in the NOC list are not eligible, hence, the province of Saskatchewan has also released a list of occupations which are ineligible to apply in OID and express entry subcategory of ISNP, i.e. Excluded SINP Occupation List.

SINP Occupation list updated

The NOC is the term used for occupations in Canada. This list comprise the extensive categories of occupations, under 0, A and B categories.In the NOC list, you may check your occupations and skill level to apply in SINP Express Entry and OID subcategory.

Some eligible occupations in high demand occupation list are regulated or have professional certification standards. Hence, you need to submit additional documentations for such eligible occupations.

However, do not forget to check the Excluded Occupation list to confirm whether or not you are eligible to apply in the Occupation in Demand and Express Entry subcategory of the SINP.

SINP process

Express Entry applicants as well as the people willing to immigrate to Saskatchewan via In-Demand Occupation Sub-Category require submitting a separate EOI (Expression of Interest) profile in Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

Once you create International Skilled Worker (ISW) EOI profile, you can choose an occupation from the number of given occupations. The EOI system will only allow you to choose an eligible occupation for your profile. You cannot select the occupations, which are Ineligible occupations, i.e. feature in SINP Excluded Occupation List.

The ISW (International Skilled Worker) EOI is not an application but a pre-application process that allows interested candidates to fill in an online form to show their interest in applying to the SINP and also demonstrate their qualifications and other factors of the profile.

The SINP assess all the EOI profiles received in the system and subsequently, issue the Invitation to apply for provincial nomination to the selected candidates. The invites are sent via periodic draws or invitation rounds of SINP.
