Quebec- one of the major Canadian province has opened latest draw of QSWP (Quebec Skilled Worker Program) on August 19, 2019. The latest invitation rounds of QSWP invited 444 foreign skilled workers to apply for Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ).
In this latest draw, QSWP focused on the applicants with EOI (Expression of Interest) in the Arrima (online application system of QSWP), i.e. the ones, whose earlier applications were cancelled under immigration changes issued on June 16, 2019.

The relatively new EOI-based system has replaced the earlier first-come-first-served process or way of receiving applications for the QSWP.
As per the EOI process, an applicant requires creating a profile in Arrima online system and subsequently, he/she gets a point score based on key factors an applicant mentioned in his/her EOI, such as, age, education, area of training, work experience and French proficiency, etc.
Based on their point scores achieved and other key factors, i.e. labour shortages Quebec regions, etc. an applicant receive the Invitation to apply for a CSQ.On receipt of CSQ, an applicant needs to apply for permanent residence through Canada's federal immigration department, i.e. IRCC, which in turn validates medical and criminal admissibility of an applicant for issuance of Canada PR.
