September Express Entry Draw- Will IRCC Open All - Program EE draw with reduced CRS Score?

The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is opening the both program specific as well as the all-program draws in tandem for last few week. This seems a new trend and the applicants are gradually getting used to it now and expecting the draws accordingly every month.

So far, in the month of August 2020, the IRCC has opened four express entry draws and invited over 8,000 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency. Hence, now all eyes are on the next EE draw as to what it will bring for the applicants. Let us try to find out the answer based on the recent trend of EE draw results.

Predictions for September Express Entry draw

As discussed already the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is striking the right balance between program specific and all program draws and hence, opening both the draws periodically one by one. In the month of August, the IRCC opened four express entry draws on 5th, 6th, 19th and 20th August 2020.

Among all these draws, the first one, i.e. 5th August draw was the all- program draw, while the rest were the program-specific draws opened for Federal Skilled Trades (FST), Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) category respectively.

Now, as per the cycle of draws the IRCC is following in last few months, the next EE draw is expected to be an all-program draw, as last three draws for the program-specific draws.

CRS Score requirement

As far as Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement is concerned, it is not easy to determine the same considering the volatile nature of the EE pool and consequently, the cut-off based on the same. Having said the same, the same as IRCC is reduced the qualifying marks by two points in the last all-program draw on 5th August, we can only hope that Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) further reduces it in the next all program draw.

If you are waiting for the ITA (Invitation to apply) for a long time, you may opt to apply for a relevant Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to enhance your express entry point score and subsequently, get the invitation to apply for Canadian PR visa.
