Nova Scotia Opens NSNP draw to invite Registered Nurses

visas default image Nova Scotia has opened the latest draw of NSNP (Nova Scotia Nominee program) on May 22, 2020. The draw invited the candidates with experience as a registered nurse via the Labour Market Priorities stream of NSNP.

Nova Scotia PNP- Labour Market Priorities Stream

The Labour Market Priorities Stream of Nova Scotia PNP invite, assess and choose the candidates from the federal Express Entry system. Candidates, who fulfill the labour market requirements of the province of Nova Scotia, can apply for nomination.

However, to be able to apply, you must get the Letter of Interest to apply for provincial nomination first, from the NSNP. This time around, the province has revealed the details of eligibility criteria however, it did not reveal any detail about the issued invitation.

Eligibility Criteria for 22nd May Draw of NSNP

As already mentioned this NSNP draw is for Registered Nurses. Find below the key criteria of this draw. As an applicant, you need to
  • Have your main occupation as a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse (NOC 3012)
  • Give the letters of reference from employers, to show that you have three or more years of experience as a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse.
  • Have a proficiency level of CLB 8 or higher in English or French in all four abilities of the language. Provide the approved test result as am evidence of language proficiency, i.e. IELTS
  • Be a Graduate (i.e. hold bachelor's degree) OR have accomplished a program of three or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or another institute. Provide ECA (Educational Credential Assessment) in support of your qualification.

The candidates, who have received the LOI (Letter of Interest) in this draw, now have 60 days to apply for nomination. If you apply for nomination and get selected for the nomination certificate, it will give you 600 extra CRS points in the express entry system.
