Nova Scotia Invited French-speaking candidates in a new NSNP Draw

The Canadian province, Nova Scotia opened second NSNP draw of the year on March 29, 2021 to invite eligible French-speaking candidates. All the applicants are invited under Express Entry-linked Labour Market Priorities stream and are now eligible to apply for provincial nomination with nova Scotia.

 

In this latest draw, Nova Scotia issued Letters of Interest only to those applicants who had French as their first official language and had obtained a CLB score of 9 or higher in all four language abilities, including reading, writing, listening and speaking.

 

Eligibility criteria - NSNP Draw held on 29th March

 

In order to obtain LOIs in this draw, applicants:

 

  • Must have a valid Express Entry profile
  • Must have selected French as their first official language
  • Must have a CLB score of at least 9 or higher in all four French language abilities
  • Must have a CLB score of at least 7 or higher in all four English language abilities
  • Must have either a bachelor's degree or completed a three years' program at a university, trade or technical school or college

Application submission for Provincial Nomination

 

All the Express Entry candidates under Labour Market Priorities stream who obtained their Letter of Interest (LOI) in this draw must submit complete and final provincial nomination application to NSNP within 30 calendar days. They must submit language test results (copies), education proof and other supporting documents along with the application.

 

About NSNP's Labour Market Priorities stream

 

Under this stream, Nova Scotia choose applicants from the Express Entry pool. To qualify, candidates must have the required skills to meet the provincial labour market needs of Nova Scotia. The eligible candidates then get a Letter of Interest from the province to apply for provincial nomination.
