Nova Scotia Invited Express Entry candidates in latest NSNP draw on December 1, 2020 In a latest NSNP draw held on December 1, 2020, Nova Scotia issued invitations to eligible Express Entry candidates under Labour Market Priorities stream. All the candidates invited in this invitation round are now eligible to apply for provincial nomination with Nova Scotia for Canadian permanent residence.

However, the Nova Scotia Nominee Program did not informed about the total number of invitations issued in this draw. But, there were specific eligibility requirements based on which candidates were invited to apply for nominations.

NSNP draw eligibility criteria - December 1, 2020

In order to obtain LOIs in this draw, candidates:

  • Must have a valid Express Entry profile
  • Must have a job offer from an employer in Nova Scotia and the employment offer must:
  • be of full-time skilled work in Nova Scotia. i.e. working year-round for minimum 30 hours/week
  • be of minimum 1 year after the issuance of permanent resident visa
  • Must have 1 year of skilled work experience
  • Must have a Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a CLB 5 score or above in French or English language skills
Submitting application for Provincial Nomination

All the Express Entry candidates under NSNP's Labour Market Priorities stream who obtained their Letter of Interest (LOI) in this draw are required to submit their complete and final provincial nomination application to NSNP within 30 calendar days.

Along with the application, candidates must submit the following documents:

  • Language tests results (copies)
  • Education proof
  • Job offer (must include title and duties, NOC Code position, working hours/week, job offer duration, annual salary, work location address, and a letter if the position is unionized)
About NSNP's Labour Market Priorities stream

Under this stream, Nova Scotia select applicants from the federal Express Entry pool. To qualify, applicants must have the required skills to meet the provincial labour market needs of Nova Scotia. The selected candidates get a Letter of Interest from the province to apply for provincial nomination.
