Express Entry draw results are never easy to predict or speculate in advance. What will IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) has in its kitty for the next express entry draw, only they know. All we can do is stay positive and try to dig out the possibilities based on the ongoing trend of EE draws.

Last year, the EE draws were complete volatile in nature, however, it was in favour of the applicants only, as in almost every draw IRCC made significant reduction in the qualifying marks. This year EE draw results have been relatively stable compared to last year. Having said that there hasn't been much to cheer about as far as express entry candidates with low CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score are concerned.

Cut off marks didn't change by much this year

The CRS score requirement seems to be locked at the upper limit. This year, the qualifying marks around 440-445 mark can be mentioned as locked to upper limit, considering the lowest CRS score requirement went down to 413 mark in the year 2017.

This wasn't really a good news for the candidates with low CRS score, especially the ones, who have the score 440 points. Now, as approximately, five express entry draws are remaining this year, it will be interesting to see how IRCC go about the cut off marks.

What will be the CRS score requirement in upcoming EE draws?

After keeping the cut off marks stable around 450 mark, the experts are speculating how IRCC will go about the same in in the last few draw of the year. However, looking at the current EE draw it doesn't seem likely that IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) will decrease the qualifying marks by much in the upcoming EE draws this year.

The last quarter has begun already, however, the qualifying marks increased to 445 points instead of dropping. It is likely to remain the same in the remaining draw this year. Even if it drops, it won't be by much.

Call the expert to look for alternate ways

The wise thing is to not depend too much on draw results and look out for the alternate ways to obtain the Canadian permanent residency. As an applicant you may either look to improve your CRS points by increasing IELTS band score or by leaning French (as a secondary language) to earn additional CRS points for secondary language. The other option is to apply in alternate immigration programs, i.e. any of the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) of Canada.
