EE Draw Analysis

This was sixth Category-based draw opened by the IRCC (Immigration Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) this year. In the previous Francophone category draw, the IRCC dropped the CRS score requirement to just 375 points. In this latest draw for French-speaking candidates, the CUT OFF is still very low (i.e. just 435 points) compare to the regular all program draws, wherein the CRS score requirement is beyond 500 points. The six categories selected for category-based draws in 2023 are as follows:

  1. Strong French language skills
  2. healthcare?
  3. science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions?
  4. trades, such as carpenters, plumbers and contractors?
  5. transport?
  6. agriculture and Agri-food?

The category-based EE draws have opened doors for those Canada PR aspirants as well, who were earlier not getting the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian PR (Permanent Resident) Visa due to the low CRS score. So, if you are one such aspirant eligible for any of the above-mentioned categories, you stand a good chance of getting ITA for Canada PR visa this year.
