Manitoba PNP to invite profiles using NOC 2021 from November 17, 2022

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) will start using the new NOC system in accordance with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).  The province of Manitoba will use the new NOC 2021 version of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) for all MPNP applications received after November 16, 2022. Find out more about this news.

Manitoba PNP EOI based draws

Presently, Manitoba is only accepting EOI profiles using NOC 2021 (5 digits codes). One can submit profile at any time. Manitoba PNP will hold Expression of Interest (EOI) draw for profiles using NOC 2021 on 17 November 2022. To get ITA in the draw, taking place on November 17, 2022, you need to have submitted an EOI profile by November 16, 2022.

  • The province will continue to accept new EOI profiles post November 16, 2022 and continue to hold regular draws based on the MPNP's requirement for applications to continue to fulfil goals of the program.
  • Manitoba plans to conduct an EOI based MPNP draw for foreign Skilled Workers prior to December 31, 2022. This draw will consider all EOI profiles with a connection to Manitoba via a Manitoba supporter or earlier Manitoba experience.

Note: If your MPNP application was submitted prior to 16 November, the Manitoba nomination and succeeding PR application will be measured using NOC 2016. Your application and nomination cannot be switched to NOC 2021.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conduct the draws periodically, however, in view of the new NOC 2021 implementation, the province seemed to have paused its regular draws sine September 2022. Now, post implementation of the new NOC system on 16 November, the MPNP may hold regular draws once again.
