Express Entry opens Largest PNP category draw to invite 1,070 candidates

The IRCC (Immigration Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) conducted the biggest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) category draw of federal Express Entry System on February 2, 2022. In this draw, the IRCC has invited record 1,070 candidates to apply for Canadian PR (Permanent Resident) Visa. This is the first EE draw this month. Find out more details.

In the draw occurred on 2nd February, the IRCC has issued 1070 Invitations to Apply (ITA) with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement of 674 CRS points. This is the biggest ever draw opened for PNP category candidates in terms of number of invitations issued.

This year, the IRCC has invited 2,498 candidates in three Express Entry draws opened until date. In 2022, Canada has a target to invite 411,000 new immigrants this year on PR (Permanent Residence) visa. A significant number of these new immigrants, i.e. 1,10,500 will be invited under the Federal High Skilled category of EE system.

FSW category draw update

In the recent announcement, the Canadian immigration minister has confirmed that the government is making efforts to clear backlog and resume the FSW (Federal Skilled Worker) category draw as early as possible. Meanwhile the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) of Canada are continuing to invite the candidates and nominating them for the Canadian PR (Permanent Resident) Visa.
