Latest Express Entry draw- IRCC sets New Record for PNP invitations

Canada held latest draw of Express Entry System on February 16, 2022 to issue record number of invitations to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates, i.e. 1,082. This is fourth program-specific draw this year for PNP candidates only, i.e. the candidates who already have the provincial nomination and 600 CRS points in their express entry account based on the same.

In this latest draw, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 1,082 candidates with a CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement of 710 points. Now, the IRCC has invited total 3,580 candidates this year in four Express Entry draws opened for PNP candidates.

As per the Immigration levels plan of Canada, in 2022, Express entry has an immigration target to invite 55,900 candidates. Moreover, the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) of Canada will invite 83,500 candidates through their respective invitation rounds.

The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has increased the immigration target for 2022, in the latest immigration levels plan 2022-2024. Now, the IRCC will invite 431,645 new permanent residents this year. By the end of 2024, Canada plans to invite nearly 1.5 million permanent residents.
