Canada issued ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa to 1,490 candidates in this new draw, who had the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score of 535 points or above.

EE Draw Analysis

The 13th February invitation round was 5th EE draw this year. Now, in total five Express Entry draws of federal EE System held this year until date the IRCC has invited total 11,770 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Resident (PR) Visa.

The CRS score is dropping for category-based draws while it is normal in the general/all-category draws of the Express Entry System.

Categories invited by IRCC category-based EE Draws held in 2023

Last year, the IRCC targeted below categories, i.e. candidates with,

• A strong French language proficiency or
• Work experience in one of the below fields:
  • healthcare
  • science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
  • trades, such as carpenters, plumbers and contractors
  • transport
  • agriculture and Agri-food

The key categories are likely to remain prominent in the year 2024 as well, i.e. French Proficiency, STEM and Healthcare
