The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has launched the 13th draw of federal express entry system. However, this draw is bit different from normal EE Draws. This draw has been launched for two specific categories of express entry candidates. Lets take a look at the categories for which the draw has been launched.
Candidates with Provincial Nomination
The candidates with provincial nominee programs will be the key invitees in the 13th draw of express entry this year. The provincial nominees are those express entry candidates, who have been nominated by a Canadian province for Canada PR. Such candidates receive 600 additional CRS points in express entry system for nomination. Below are the selection criteria and number candidates to be selected under this category.

Candidates under Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) is one of the three key economic programs of Canada along with Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and CEC (Canadian Experience Class). Why Program specific draws this time around?
The IRCC this time launched Program Specific draw due to some specific reasons. Firstly, the invitations for Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) declined in the recent past, as the FSTP candidates dont get much CRS points for their low language proficiency and low level of education. Hence, despite having a job offer their score cannot get closer to Cut off marks, i.e. 300-400. Hence, a draw with separate cut off marks has been launched this time around for FSTP category.
The PNP category draw
The draw launched for PNP category likely to benefit the candidates under Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and CEC (Canadian Experience Class) in the upcoming express entry draws. The candidates under FSWP and CEC will get higher Express entry rank, as most of the provincial nomination candidates will be selected in the current EE draw, leaving less competition for rest of the candidates.
