Express Entry draw on 12 April- IRCC invites 3,500 candidates to apply for Canada PR

On 12 April 2023, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted 10th Express Entry draw of this year and EE Draw #246 overall. In this new draw, the IRCC has issued 3,500 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa. Find out more about this latest invitation round of EE system.

Express Entry draw on 12 April

In 12th April draw, 3,500 Express Entry candidates received ITA with a CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement of 486 points. In this draw, the IRCC has invited candidates under all categories, i.e.

• Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
• Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
• Federal Skilled Trades (FST)
• Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Latest EE Draw Analysis

After this latest draw, now the IRCC has invited total 41,059 candidates to apply for Canadian PR this year through the federal EE system. The IRCC has broken the trend of last three EE draws and invited 3,500 candidates this time around, which is still a fairly good number. Moreover, the CRS score has also been marginally increased, i.e. by just 5 points in this latest EE Draw.

This year, the IRCC has annual immigration target to invite 82,880 candidates. In fact, this target may exceed by the end of the year as happened on previous few occasions. With the rise in number of ITAs the CRS score or CUT OFF is likely to reduce in the months to come.
