Over 40,000 people have got initial Canada PR pathway in the month of January itself. Canadian government has annual immigration target of 3,30,000 this year and looking at the January month statistics, we can say that IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) is well on track.
Canada plans to invite over one million immigrants as permanent residents by 2021. By next year, the annual target is projected to be 3,40,000, which is expected to increase to the staggering mark of 3,50,000 by 2021. Outstanding month for Express Entry System
The month of January has been exceptional for federal express entry system as the program held three massive express entry draws in the month inviting a total of 11,150 applicants to apply for permanent residency in the maple leaf country.
The interesting fact is that the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada has consistently dropped the CRS score requirement or Cut off marks in the last three Express Entry draws launched on 10th January, 23rd January and 30th January respectively. In fact, in the last express entry draw, IRCC reduced the qualifying marks to 438 CRS points, which is the lowest in almost past one and half year.
Frequent PNP draws
The provincial nominee programs are not far behind when it comes to issuing invitations to the interested immigration applicants, as they issued invitations to nearly 5,000 applicants to apply for provincial nomination in January alone.Several PNPs, i.e. Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP), BCPNP, MPNP held their draw to invite the skilled and talented people to apply for provincial nomination. The provincial nominee programs provide relatively easy pathway to get permanent residency in Canada.
The Parent and Grandparent Program of Canada also invited interested sponsors to fill the interest to sponsor form in 2nd half of January, with a target of 27,000 EOI profiles, which was met in no time (in few minutes) in the first month of the year itself.
