Canada Resumes FSW Draws - Now Low CRS is all Applicants need in new Express Entry Draw

abc The opening of the regular Federal Skilled Worker category draw on 8th July 2020 has finally given respite to the express entry candidates waiting for the same since March month. However, the next big expectation the applicants has is the drop in the Comprehensive Ranking System Score requirement from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The CRS score demand in last EE Draw was 478 points, as the IRCC issued 3,900 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residency.

Express Entry draw trend this year

The express Entry draw results this year have been a mixed bag. The Express Entry started the year with cut of hovering around 470 mark. In first week of March, it shoot up to 720, which was a Provincial Nominee Program category draw. In the draws targeting PNP candidates, the qualifying marks are bound to remain high considering the invited candidates having 600 extra CRS points gained through provincial nomination.

New CRS Score Trend in 2020

Since the first week of March, the trend of the Comprehensive Ranking System score requirement has been zigzag, as you can see above. This trend is visible view of back-to-back Provincial Nominee Program and Canadian Experience Class category draws.

Will CRS score drop in the upcoming EE Draws?

In view of the global pandemic situation, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have been inviting the Canadian Experience Class and PNP category candidates in last few months. The above graph explains the frequency of both these draws in last few months. Now, all eyes are on IRCC to see whether it drops the cut off or not in the next Express Entry draw.
