Canadian PNP Updates This week – 1-7 April 2024

In the first week of April 2024, notable updates emerged in the Canadian Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) landscape, marking significant developments in immigration avenues. Ontario province announced its nomination allocation for the year, setting the stage for prospective immigrants seeking opportunities in the region.

Additionally, three prominent PNPs, namely Prince Edward Island (PEI), British Columbia, and Alberta, opened draws during this period, inviting skilled individuals and entrepreneurs to apply for provincial nomination. These initiatives underscored the ongoing commitment of Canadian provinces to address labour market needs and attract talent crucial for economic growth and development.

Ontario PNP Nomination allocation released for 2024

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has announced that it has received an increased nomination allocation of 21,500 from the federal government for the year 2024. Last year, the program received a nomination allocation of 16,500, hence, it is a notable increase in the nominations for this year. This surge in nominations underscores the confidence of the Canadian government in Ontario's ability to attract and integrate skilled immigrants.

Prince Edward Island PNP draw- 4 April

Canadian province of Prince Edward Island initiated a draw on 4 April 2024 for its Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP), issuing a total of 66 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination. These ITAs were allocated to candidates falling under the Labour and Express Entry category.

British Columbia PNP Draw- 3 April

The most recent draw for the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) occurred on April 3, 2024. During this immigration selection, British Columbia, Canada, issued approximately 83 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination for the Canadian Permanent Resident visa to candidates who met the established eligibility requirements of the respective PNP immigration streams.

Alberta PNP draw- 2 April and 19 March

In latest draws of Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)- Express Entry stream took place  on 19 March and 2 April 2024, province of Alberta invited total 89 candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score range in these draws were 303-304 points.
