Canada’s latest Express Entry round brought an invitation to 733 candidates with provincial nominations. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on September 28, 2026, with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 725. What does the 725 CRS cutoff mean?

This round was reserved for eligible Express Entry candidates who had received a provincial or territorial nomination. An Express Entry linked nomination adds 600 CRS points. For that reason, the cutoff in a PNP draw should be viewed separately from cutoffs in Canadian Experience Class or occupation based draws. (www.canada.ca)

A score of 725 was the score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited in this round. Candidates at exactly that score also had to meet the draw’s tie-breaking rule, which used a profile submission time of September 17, 2026, at 01:36:17 UTC. (gands.com)

What should invited candidates do now?

If you received an invitation, sign in to your IRCC account and read it carefully. Check that the information in your Express Entry profile remains accurate, particularly your nomination, work history, language results and family details. Then gather the documents needed for your permanent residence application and follow the submission deadline in your account.

If you are still waiting for an invitation, this draw is a reminder to assess provincial pathways against your actual profile. Each province sets its own criteria, and receiving a nomination depends on meeting the requirements of a particular stream. Creating an Express Entry profile alone does not secure a nomination or an invitation.
