Australia has implemented key changes to its lists of Eligible Skilled Occupations with effect from January 17, 2018. The changes includes adding, removing of certain occupations as well as the interchange of occupations between Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) and the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL). The list Lists of eligible skilled occupations has been updated from 17th January with all new changes reflecting, hence the applications received prior to this date will not be impacted from new changes.
Summary of Changes to Lists of Eligible Skilled Occupations
Here are the key changes implemented in the lists of Eligible Skilled Occupations from 17th January:
Occupations added
Three occupations have been added to the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL). These occupations were not featuring in any of the lists earlier. Caveats on these occupations has also been indicated via *** asterisks.

The two occupations have been completely eliminated from the lists of eligible skilled occupations for all skilled visa programs with effect from 17 January 2018.
