Alberta conducted AAIP draws on 11 & 13 July- CRS score dropped to 302 points

Canadian province Alberta opened latest Express Entry stream draws of Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) on 11 and 13 July 2023. In both these draws, Alberta issued total 292 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to apply for provincial nomination. The candidates with CRS score range 302-435 points received the invitations to apply. Find out more

AAIP- Express Entry stream draws on 11 & 13 July 2023

Alberta held two draws on 11 and 13 July 2023. The criteria for each draw was different, i.e.

• 13 July – AAIP draw held for Family connection and primary occupation in demand. Total 142 NOIs issued with a CRS score requirement of 302 points. 

• 11 July- Alberta PNP draw held for Priority sector - Tourism and hospitality occupation with Alberta job offer- Total 150 NOIs issued with a CRS score requirement of 435 points. 

• CRS- The CRS score requirement range in these AAIP draws were 302-435 points.

Alberta Express Entry Stream selection for 2023

The below criteria will apply to Alberta Express Entry Stream selection for the year 2023:

• 25% of nominations will be allotted to applicants in in-demand occupations who have a close family connection (parent, child, brother or sister) in Alberta.
• In-demand occupations comprise the occupations with substantial cumulative imbalance on Alberta’s Occupational Outlook and occupations in 'High' or 'Moderately High' demand in the Short-Term Employment Forecast.
• 50% of nominations will be allotted to applicants with a primary occupation in the health care, construction, agriculture, hospitality and tourism sectors, with priority given to applicants with an Alberta employment offer.
• 25% of nominations will be allotted to the Accelerated Tech Pathway.
