Canberra held latest ACT (Australian Capital Territory) invitation round on 14 November 2022 to issue 441 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for the ACT nomination. The capital city invited candidates to apply for the nomination for key state/territory nominated visa categories, i.e. Subclass 190 visa and Subclass 491 visa.

Small Business Owners: The ACT has issued just 10 ITAs under this category for Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190.
457 / 482 visa holders- No candidate received invitation in this round under this category.
Critical Skill Occupations– Total 184 ITAs issued under this stream for both visa categories.

Overseas Applicants (Critical Skill Occupations) – As usual, overseas candidates received highest, i.e. 247 ITAs in this round for both the state/territory nominated visas. Subclass 491 visa received most, i.e. 229 invitations.

2022-2023 Allocation of ACT Nomination Places:

The Canberra received an interim allocation for the 2022-2023 program year.

Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa: 800 places

Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa: 1920 places
