After unusually delayed 5th draw of federal express entry system this year, all eyes are on the next, i.e. 6th Express Entry of the year 2018. This year, qualifying marks or CRS Score requirement from IRCC has not been reduced as per exceptions of the applicants. Hence, the express entry applicants must be expecting from IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) to make considerable reduction in the qualifying marks.

Let's try to analyse and find out how the upcoming draw going to be for the candidates.

5th EE draw surprised the candidates

In last express entry draw, to the surprise of the express entry registered candidates, IRCC increased the CRS score requirement by 14 points. This happened, when all the applicants were eagerly waiting for the express entry draw, which was late by more than a week. The IRCC raised the CRS score requirement to 456 CRS points, and based on the same, issued total 3,000 invitations. In fact, the IRCC is issuing 3,000 invitations continuously from last three express entry draws.

There were discussions and speculations all around about the delayed EE draw and increased qualifying marks in the end. However, the reason or secret behind this lies with IRCC only. From outside, we can only analyse and speculate the past or upcoming steps to be taken by the Canadian government or IRCC.

What are the expectations form upcoming EE draw?

How will be the next draw in terms of timing and draw results? Every applicant has this question in mind. Well, looking at the past draw trends and timings, we may expect something exceptional or unusual from the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Looking at the delayed draw last time round, we may expect the unexpected draw launch from IRCC at any point of time. So be ready for the 6th EE draw at any time. The second thing to analyse here is the draw results, i.e. the CRS score requirement and number of candidates to be invited by the federal government.

If IRCC chooses to announce an early draw, we may expect around 25-3000 ITAs (Invitations to Apply). On the other hand, if it is timely draw (on fortnight basis) or a delayed draw, we may expect the invitations to go beyond the 3,000 mark next time around. So, keep your fingers crossed if you are a candidate registered in federal express entry system. In case, you have a low CRS score, don't expect the qualifying marks to come down anytime soon. In such a case, it is wise to look out for alternate immigration programs, i.e. Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).
