The CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement was 465 points in the last express entry draw held on 12th June 2019. Although, the IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) reduced the cut off by 5 points in the last EE draw, however, the reduction was not enough to impress the candidates registered in the EE System with relatively low CRS score. Now, the big time question is whether the IRCC will drop the qualifying marks in upcoming draw of federal express entry system. Well, to find out the same, let's first analyse the draw trend this year.

Express Entry draw trend in 2019

This year express entry draw never settled in to one trend rather it has been quite unpredictable for the applicants as well as for the experts. It started moderately on 449 CRS points in the start of the year and drastically reduced to the lowest of the year in the third draw of the year only.

In the very next draw it crossed the 455 mark and remained in 450s for the next few draws. Meanwhile a FST (Federal Skilled Trades) draw was launched on 15th May draw, for which IRCC reduced the cut off to 332 points. However, in the very next normal FSW category draw the CRS requirement again increased drastically to reach the highest mark of the year, i.e. 475 CRS points. In last draw, reduction of 5 points gave some positive indications to the applicants.

What will be cut off in next EE draw?

Considering the express entry pool status as on 7th June 2019, we expect further reduction in the CRS score requirement from express entry. Though, it won't be huge, but minor drop in the cut off from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada, which means the cut off will remain above 450 mark despite the drop. The number of candidates in the EE pool with CRS score between 451 and 600 were 5,646 on 7th June, 2019. Hence, even if 3,350 candidates invited in the 12th June, draw there will considerable number of applicants in the EE pool with CRS score above 450 points.
