After the exceptional first half of the year 2017, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) seemed to have taken a breather in the month of June. As a result, the consistently falling qualifying marks soared up again close to 450 Mark in last couple of express entry draws. However, in last express entry draw, the IRCC yet again provided an indication that it may further reduce the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement.

CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) Score

A CRS Score is the total scored points of a candidate in the federal express entry system. The express entry system is the federal point based and online immigration system of Canada that allocates ITA (invitation to apply) to the candidates for Canadian permanent residency based on their scored points for key factors, i.e. age, education, language skills, work experience, etc.

IRCC launches express entry draw every fortnight, announcing the cut off score (CRS score requirement). The candidates achieving the announced qualifying marks receive ITA for Canada PR Visa from IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada).
