The occupations with the highest number of expected job openings over the next five years comprise the following:

• Transport truck drivers (5,000 openings)
• Nurses aides, orderlies and patient service associates (4,600 openings)
• Retail and wholesale trade managers (3,800 openings)
• Registered nurses (2,900 openings)

As per an assessment, 36,200 of the job openings over the next 5 years are in managerial and professional occupations generally requiring a university degree.
