Can I get Permanent Residency in Australia after 40 years?
Well, this is the most common question asked by the aspirants of Australian visa. Department of Home Affairs, Australia follows a point based system that allocated points to the applicants based on age, education, Work experience, English proficiency, etc. factors. The applicants with top score are selected by the government through periodic invitation rounds. You need to score minimum 65 points, however, higher points than this will increase your chances of getting permanent residency in Australia after 40 years.
Since the applicants get points for the age factor, the highest points for this factor can be collected when you are between age group 25 and 33. Post this age group, the points for age factor start decreasing, although, you can still apply Australia PR if you are less than 45 years of age.
|at least 18 but less than 25 years||25|
|at least 25 but less than 33 years||30|
|at least 33 but less than 40 years||25|
|at least 40 but less than 45 years||15|
As you can see in the table above your points for age factor start decreasing after 33 years. However, you are still good if you can make up for these points
